Dragon has produced several 1/35 scale plastic model kits featuring armored vehicles from the very popular Black Knight comic series in Japan. Now Dragon Armor is getting in on the act with an exciting array of 1/72 scale collectible items from the same Black Knight comics. The very first item is a Panther Ausf.G Early Production tank. Utilizing molds from previous 1/72 scale renditions of this famous German tank, the assembled model has been painted in an appropriate camouflage scheme just like the one that appears in the comic books.
This model represents a Panther belonging to the Black Knight commander fighting in the Eastern Front in the autumn of 1944. The tank carries the distinctive unit tactical markings of the combat-hardened Black Knight unit. Another special feature of this finely detailed miniature is the dioramic card background fitted inside the display box. The colored scenic backdrop was designed and illustrated by none other than the comic artist Motofumi Kobayashi, which is destined to make this inaugural item an extremely valued item amongst armored vehicle collectors and innumerable Black Knight fans.
